From this insight, the Black Screen International Film Festival was born, held in the historic and culturally rich city of Prague.

The festival aims to recognize and celebrate the power of writing as the fundamental foundation of cinema, providing a platform for screenwriters and filmmakers who challenge conventions and explore new ways of storytelling. Beyond awards, the event offers real market opportunities, such as cash prizes and exclusive pitch sessions for distributors, fostering connections between emerging talents and the global industry.

In doing so, Black Screen expands its original mission, strengthening the creative community and promoting the transformation of storytelling at every stage—from page to screen, with excellence and passion.

In addition to developing our own original works, Black Screen also offers a full range of literary services, including professional editing, story development, ghostwriting support, and creative consulting.

    Bruno Rodrigues is the founder and creative director of Black Screen Entertainment, an independent audiovisual production company established in 2022 with the mission of transforming ideas into powerful visual stories. With a narrative approach focused on authenticity and emotional impact, Bruno has built a solid trajectory as a screenwriter, creative producer, and connector of talent in the international film and television landscape.

    From the beginning of his career, Bruno demonstrated a deep interest in the dramatic mechanics of cinema and the storytelling potential of the audiovisual language. His creative vision is influenced by both classical cinema traditions and contemporary trends, allowing him to move fluidly between genres and formats.

    At Black Screen Entertainment, Bruno has led the development of original projects spanning Latin America and Europe, always with the goal of connecting creative talent to real production opportunities and visibility. His work extends beyond content creation—he has also spearheaded the formation of a collaborative network that supports screenwriters, directors, and producers with services such as script analysis, pitch development, and festival navigation.

    In 2023, this strategic vision led to the expansion of Black Screen’s operations with the arrival of Vanessa Alves as Financial Director, helping to consolidate the company’s structure and open doors to new markets.

    With a strong commitment to originality, diversity, and innovation, Bruno continues to position Black Screen Entertainment as a bridge between bold narratives and the global audiovisual industry—reaffirming the company’s role as a creative force for transformation.

  • Chief Financial Officer& Latin America Director

    Vanessa Alves is the Chief Financial Officer and Latin America Director at Black Screen Entertainment, where she leads the company’s financial operations, corporate structuring, and legal compliance. Joining the leadership team in 2023, Vanessa plays a pivotal role in expanding the company’s reach across Latin America, acting as the primary connection point for projects, clients, and partners throughout the region.

    Born in the countryside of Brazil, Vanessa holds a degree in Accounting and a specialization in corporate legalization and business accounting. Her expertise in financial strategy and company structuring has been instrumental in strengthening Black Screen Entertainment’s foundation and ensuring its sustainable growth.

    Beyond her financial leadership, Vanessa is responsible for communication, client relations, and project qualification throughout Latin America, ensuring seamless collaboration between the region and the European operations led by Bruno Rodrigues. This dual leadership structure allows Black Screen Entertainment to bridge creative markets on both continents, offering a broader global reach for its projects.

    Victor’s contributions are foundational to the studio’s tech-forward identity. Working mostly behind the scenes, he is responsible for building and maintaining the AI infrastructure that supports the creation of AI-crafted trailers, automated editing systems, and intelligent visual effects — tools that allow the creative team to focus purely on narrative and emotional impact.
